AboutWhy Sling exists.

Accelerating ambitious businesses
into the future.

The AI revolution has arrived — and the consulting industry has mostly responded by selling decks. Sling is the antidote. We equip small and mid-size businesses with the same tools the giants use, taught and built by operators who actually ship. We're not interested in being a vendor. We're interested in making your team dangerous.

02 / The mission

Three things
'accelerating' means.

"Accelerating ambitious businesses into the future" is the mission. But mission statements are cheap. Here's what we mean by it, concretely.

01

Ambitious businesses, not just any businesses

We pick clients on fit. If you're playing for a quiet steady-state, that's fine — but we're probably not your partner. We work with operators who want to grow, modernize, or outrun a category leader. The work is hard. The pace is real. The reward is being three years ahead of your competition.

02

Acceleration, not transformation

"Digital transformation" is the language of consultants who don't ship. We're not transforming anything. We're taking the business you already have and putting wind at its back. Better tools. Cleaner operations. Faster cycle times. The same company — moving faster.

03

The future, on a Tuesday

The future of work isn't a deck. It's the spreadsheet your controller closed in 36 hours instead of 6 days. The 80 hours a month your team got back. The campaign Claude drafted on a coffee break that converted better than the agency version. We make the future a Tuesday-morning thing.

03 / The name

Why Sling?
You already know.

The slingshot is one of the oldest leverage tools humans ever built — a way for a small hand to do the work of a much larger arm. We named the company after it on purpose.

A slingshot doesn't add muscle. It adds reach. The arm stays the same size — but the stone now travels farther, faster, and with the force of a swing it could never have made on its own.

That's leverage. And that's the bet we're making. Small and mid-size businesses don't lose to enterprises because of size. They lose because the giants got to the new leverage tools first — deployed them with proper teams, turned the asymmetry into a moat.

AI is the rare new tool where that asymmetry can flip. The giants are slow. Their procurement cycles are 18 months. Their IT departments still aren't sure what's a project and what's a pilot. Meanwhile a 12-person Colorado business can install Claude on a Tuesday and have a working quote engine by Friday.

That's the slingshot. Modern tools. Properly wielded. In the right hands.

We exist to make sure the right hands are yours.

04 / Operating standards

Five values.
Each one is
a decision filter.

These aren't aspirational. Each is a filter we run every engagement through. We've turned down work for each of them. Below each, a moment where we lived it — or were tempted not to.

01

Shoulder to Shoulder

We sit on your side of the table. Always.

Most consulting firms are structured to bill — which means they're structured to disagree with you in subtle, advantage-taking ways. We're structured to align. Our success is measured by whether your KPIs moved, not by how many hours we logged. When a value and a dollar disagree, the value wins. Every time.

A moment

We turned down a $40K project because the client wanted us to recommend a tool we knew was wrong for them. Walked away. Six months later they hired us for the right project. Worth it.

02

Burn the Snake Oil

We tell you when AI isn't the answer.

The AI consulting market is drowning in hype. We're not going to add to it. Sometimes AI isn't the answer — sometimes the answer is a checklist, a better spreadsheet, a process change, or a real hire. We say so. We've turned down work over it. The Discovery Call ends with a straight answer, not a sales pitch.

A moment

A property management firm asked us about an AI agent. Two questions in, it was clear they needed an SOP rewrite and a Google Sheet. We told them. They built it themselves, in a weekend.

03

Make It Real

Working artifacts, not decks. If it doesn't ship, it doesn't count.

Every engagement produces a thing your team can use. A working tool. A deployed agent. A live dashboard. We measure ourselves on what shipped — not what we proposed. Decks are evidence of work avoided. We do the work.

A moment

We're allergic to PDFs. The closest we get is the post-engagement one-pager with metrics. Everything else is shipped software, code your team owns, and documentation in your wiki.

04

Savagely Curious

We keep reading, building, testing.

The playbook gets better every engagement because the tools get better every month. We read everything Anthropic ships within hours. We test the new model the day it drops. We rebuild our own internal tools in public. If we ever stop being curious about this stuff, we'd be doing you a disservice.

A moment

Friday afternoons are 'savage Fridays' — protected time to break our own tools and see what's new. About one in four shows up in client work the following week.

05

Break the Chains

We equip you and step back. Lock-in is the opposite of what we sell.

Most consulting firms make their money on dependency. We make ours on graduation. The AI Champion Cohort is named that on purpose: at the end, your team has a Champion who can teach the rest. The AaaS retainer exists to bridge you to self-sufficiency, not to keep you tethered.

A moment

Our happiest client outcome is the email that says 'we don't need you anymore.' We've had three of those. We celebrated each one.

05 / The team

One shop.
One name on the line.

Sling is structured for single-point accountability. Every contract, every invoice, every email runs through Sling — never through a partner firm, never with a co-signed agreement, never with a handoff. Whether your engagement is just us or a small team, the name you're hiring is Sling. The person who owns the outcome doesn't change.

The promise
  • One point of accountability. Every engagement is signed, scoped, and managed by Sling. No co-signed contracts with the people we bring in. No invoice surprises.
  • No vendor maze. You won't be introduced to a partner firm halfway through. You won't get an email from someone you've never heard of asking for credentials.
  • No conflict of interest. The specialists in the network work for Sling on your engagement — not for you, not independently, not for the platform vendors. The recommendation is the one we'd make if we were you.
The specialist network

Bench depth, when the work needs it.

Most engagements run solo. Some don't. When a project needs a specific shape of expertise — a CPA who's seen 200 month-end closes, a marketer who's run six-figure ad budgets, an engineer who's shipped at scale — we bring them in under Sling. You see one team, one invoice, one name.
